IIMM and MetaCog Launch Online Foundation Warehouse Management Programme

New online Training Programme in the Supply Chain Management series addresses Warehouse Planning and Operations, Specifications and Quality

Bengaluru, September 2, 2013 — Today, the Indian Institute of Materials Management and MetaCog Solutions announced the launch of the online Foundation Warehouse Management Programme.

The new programme consists of forty hours of online training and is designed to be completed in 16 weeks. It looks at key activities related to warehousing functions in organisations.

“Warehouse management plays a crucial role in the supply chain process. Participants can effectively master this field with the help of first-hand views from experts,” said Mr. C.S.Venkatesh, CEO, MetaCog Solutions.

Online training programmes are a key complement to traditional class room training programmes. Being able to train without the classic constraints of having to take work days off, travel long distances, incur hotel and transportation expenses is important for most organizations. In addition, online training programmes provide consistently high quality training, immediate feedback to participants as they move from one lesson to the other and the ability to learn topics at their own pace and revisit as required.

By offering more technology-based training options, IIMM will be able to provide access to a larger variety of students than ever before, including those in remote locations. The online learning model includes self-paced online training, video based instruction, testing and certification.

IIMM and MetaCog have already launched online Foundation Programmes on Purchase Management, Supply Management and Logistics that have been widely appreciated. They expect to release several advanced programmes in the coming months.
